This course is part of the Essential Supervisory Skills Series. You should already be a supervisor before attending.
The ability to set goals and work towards achieving them is a huge component of success, especially as a leader of employees. Attend this session to learn the methodology of successful goal setting, enabling you to set clear and realistic objectives for both yourself and your team. We will review a structured plan for setting personal and professional goals, discuss components of SMART goals, determine obstacles to goals and how to overcome them, and analyze mental barriers to obtaining goals. You will leave the session with a specific set of goals to pursue.
After taking this class, you will be able to:
-Explain the five key criteria of well-written goals;
-Distinguish between well-written and poorly-written goals;
-Create personal goals which are linked to organizational objectives;
-Monitor your goals to completion.
