The Farmstead Museum regularly hosts children on school field trips, but now focuses on a slightly older crowd. They’ve created a senior-focused program, Young at Heart: 55+ Exceeding the Limit. This is an educational program designed specifically for seniors looking to have fun.
Presentations are scheduled for the second Monday of each month from now through October. A variety of topics are planned on these days at the Farmstead from 10 a.m. to noon. The subjects cover vegetable gardening, music, history and much more. Museum Director Kathy Strobel welcomes all seniors to come learn and fellowship – and have fun too.
Upcoming Young at Heart: 55+ Exceeding the Limit programs include:
Pre-registration for each class is $6 per person; groups of eight or more is $4 per person. Each program is limited to 50 registrants, so register soon at heritagefarmstead.org. Pre-registration deadline is midnight the Thursday prior to each program. Walk-ups are welcome, if there is space available.
