Plano Police “Take Me Home” System is a Lifesaver

Take Me Home lost senior

The City provides a unique service to residents who become lost and unable to recall even their name. The Plano Police Department’s (PPD) Take Me Home System is a database to help people who are alone. It’s terrifying to find yourself in this predicament or to be afraid this may happen to a relative.

Too often individuals become disoriented away from home and are unable to find their way back safely. PPD’s Take Me Home system contains vital information to get you back home.

When you register with this care-giving service, a file is maintained which includes a photo and other identifying details about you. Listen as Officer Christopher Bianez shares additional information about the free service in this installment of Plano Police Safety Minute:

For more information on the Take Me Home Program, email the Crime Prevention Unit  or call 972-941-2431.
