Apply Now for Housing & Living Assistance through Collin CARES

COVID rent mortgage help

Grants are available for eligible Collin County residents impacted by COVID-19. The Collin CARES Assistance Program will provide up to $2,500 in monthly financial aid to each qualifying household.

Approved applicants receive funds to pay for housing, utilities and groceries for a maximum of four months. People may apply online if the minimum requirements are met:

  • Be a resident of Collin County (Find out if you are a Collin County resident)
  • Experience a 25% or more reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Maintain $20,000 or less in non-retirement assets
  • Have a documented income which does not exceed 200% of Area Median Income (AMI) as outlined belowMedian income chart

The funds come from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which sent more than $171 million in federal aid to Collin County. The money is for family and government COVID-19 related costs incurred from March 1 through the end of the 2020.
