This year, the City will include text messages to communicate Open Enrollment information for the first time. The FIRST thing everyone needs to do is update their personal contact information in PeopleSoft – this applies to all employees and Pre-65 retirees. You have until Wednesday, September 9 to update the info.
To ensure Human Resources (HR) is able to reach you, please verify your phone number is correct in our system and opt into text messaging. In PeopleSoft, go to Employee Self Service and click “Personal Details.” Take a few minutes to update your contact information and select “Cell text messages allowed.” This gives HR permission to send you important notices relating to Open Enrollment and changes to benefits.
If your cell phone doesn’t show up, please add it by clicking the “+” symbol and entering the number.
Staying in touch with our employees and retirees is very important to the City. Sharing news about our health and wellness programs, and retiree events relies on us being able to contact you by either email, U.S. Postal Service or text messages. Good communication is how we make sure you get the most out of what Plano has to offer you.
