Team Plano, near the end of 2020, we distributed a short survey to everyone. You were asked to share your thoughts to questions about how well our organization embodies the characteristics of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B).
Over 550 responses were received by the end of the survey period. The DEI&B survey was issued with the intent of taking the pulse our organization. We understand that this was merely a starting point in our journey of discovery and growth.
The word TEAM in “Team Plano” communicates who we are collectively. We are not just a group of individuals who happen to work together, but rather an organization of uniquely talented and diverse individuals who strive daily to make a difference. We are members of something bigger than ourselves!
The Human Resources team is currently developing an action plan based on replies to the DEI&B survey. The proposed course of action will be presented to the city manager and the executive team in the next couple of weeks for review and consideration.
