All employees with access to government computers or databases must complete annual Security Awareness Training. This state course was mandated in 2019 with the passing of Texas House Bill 3834. The City uses the KnowBe4 training platform which was one of the first state-certified programs to meet this training requirement.
Cybercrime is serious! Criminals are good at tricking people into clicking on fraudulent links or opening malicious attachments in emails. A single compromised user is enough to give an attacker access to our network and sensitive information. Cybersecurity is everyone’s job.
In addition to meeting a Texas mandate, this training helps the City meet several other regulatory and compliancy requirements. It’s important that EVERYONE participates in this training so Plano can report 100% compliance.
You must complete the training by May 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
NOTE: Technology Services emailed a specific training link to each employee – it is intended for you only. It is how the system tracks who has finished the training. Don’t forward your link to others. Check your email.
