Open Enrollment (OE) is October 7 - October 21 and the City will include text messages to communicate about the process. To receive these messages, you need to update your personal contact information in PeopleSoft. You have until Friday, October 1 to get this done.
To ensure Human Resources (HR) is able to reach you, please verify your address and phone number are correct in our system and opt in to text messaging. In PeopleSoft, go to Employee Self Service and click “Personal Details” to verify your address.
Under “Contact Details,” verify cell text messages allowed is selected. This gives HR permission to send you important notices relating to Open Enrollment and changes to benefits.
If your cell phone number doesn’t appear (see image 2B), please add it by clicking the “+” symbol and entering the number.
Staying in touch with employees is very important to the City. Sharing news about health and wellness programs requires being able to contact you by email, U.S. Postal Service or text message. Good communication is how we make sure you get the most out of what Plano has to offer you.
Remember, Friday, October 1 is the deadline to opt-in to receive text messages from HR.
Contact any member of the Human Resources benefits team for further details at HRBenefits@plano.gov.
