Our Volunteer Resources Supervisor Corina Sadler is ecstatic over Governor Greg Abbott’s naming her to the National Service Commission at The OneStar Foundation.
“To avoid confusion, I am not leaving the City of Plano, this is an additional role as a commissioner and board member,” Sadler said. Board members promote volunteerism in Texas and oversee the administration of the AmeriCorps programs for the state. She added, “I will bring my 17 years of local government experience and passion for volunteer engagement to this established board.”
The OneStar Foundation works to strengthens Texas communities by creating pathways for individuals and organization to engage, connect and have impact. They also prepare a comprehensive three-year national service plan for the state annually and oversee the Rebuild Texas Fund to help those recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
Sadler is also a member in these organizations:
Additionally, she is a volunteer outreach committee member for the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration, social media manager for Engage Journal, and leadership team member for the Texas Volunteer Management Conference.
