When it comes to understanding the City’s health insurance plan, it’s important to know the differences between an in-network and out-of-network provider. Considering “total cost” and “your cost” are major factors to consider when selecting providers. WebTPA can help with that!
Understand this first
In-network provider – Includes hospitals, doctors or other health care providers who have contracted with a particular health care network (like WebTPA) to provide services for members
Out-of-network provider – Includes providers NOT covered under a medical plan; and you are responsible for 100% of the charges
Find an in-network provider, facility or a covered procedure in THREE steps:
Step 1: Log into your account on webtpa.com
Step 2: Find a Provider at the top of the page
Step 3: Search by a specific provider or type of provider
View WebTPA’s “How to Find a Provider” flyer for more information.
If you have questions about a provider, facility or procedures, contact WebTPA at 844-380-4552 or email service.team@webtpa.com.
The City’s network is Aetna Signature Administrators and our plan only pays the rate for in-network providers.
It PAYS to go to an in-network provider! As a self-funded medical plan, WE (the employees) put money into our medical fund bank and the City does too. We pay for medical visits and procedures. It’s essential to use in-network providers and facilities ONLY.
