This very clever PlanoStages design takes Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” to new heights! The life-sized display was provided by Michelle Hawkins, Bryant Yeager and Amy Pagan of Parks & Recreation. The title of the display is “Dickens in Downtown.” Amy writes:
“Plano Arts & Events invites you to step up to the giant book on display in the Municipal Center lobby and step into the world of Charles Dickens. The 5-foot tall book features highlights of this year’s Dickens in Downtown Plano, which takes place at Haggard Park on December 6 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. The Tree Lighting is at 7 p.m. Join Scrooge, some chimney sweeps, carolers and ice fighters as we roast s’mores, ride in horse-drawn carriages, shop for treats and travel down the Trimmed Tree Trail!”
The Municipal Center lobby display case is home to ever-changing images of: Plano’s rich history, culture and vibrant samples of City programs, events and services. The glass display case near the Action Center Information Desk is one of the building’s best features. For information about the Display Case Program, contact Jeff Smith at 972-941-7107.
